JOURNAL OF ENVIRONMENTAL IMMUNOLOGY (JEI)

The Scope of Journal

The Journal of Environmental Immunology publishes original findings of scientific research that apply both valid design and methods to explain how the exposure to environmental toxicants affect the development, maintenance and function of the immune system and its relevant consequences on human/animal health.

Exposure to environmental contaminants (chemical: such as industrial byproducts, mining, pesticides, herbicides; or biological: such as microbial pollution of sewage treatment plants, septic systems, and livestock operations) can produce substantial effects on the immune system. The journal welcomes research on novel insights of cellular and molecular immunologic alterations due to a certain environmental stressor(s). Understanding how contaminants impact/modulate immune responsiveness not only helps in the effective regulation of pollutants and improving public health but also provides tools to explore future biomarkers for exposure, novel immunotherapies and spur seminal advances in both basic and applied immunology.

The Journal of Environmental Immunology accepts full-length research articles, rapid communications, and mini review/review articles.

The Journal of Environmental Immunology is an open access, peer-reviewed journal that publishes original works FREE of charge.
